Iberia has scheduled a number of new flights between Madrid and Lima, Buenos Aires, Bogota, Quito and Havana.
The four new direct flights to Lima represent an increase of some 40%, and raises the total number of weekly return flights to 11. The flights are well connected in Madrid to other Spanish and European destinations, and in Lima to other cities in Peru and in Bolivia, under cooperation arrangements with LAN.
Madrid-Buenos Aires services have been increased by 16%, or three return flights per week, to a total of 17, or which amounts to three flight per day on most days, in a variety of time slots.
Under code sharing with LAN the number of Madrid-Quito return flights has been boosted by three per week, so that between them the oneworld alliance partners will now fly to and from Ecuador between two and three times each day.
Iberia now plans to use larger aircraft to increase seat supplies on its Madrid-Bogota route, but in June it will add three weekly flights (-10%) and in October another five, (+35%).
Iberia will continue two operate one return flight daily between Madrid and Havana, but two or three times a week it will use its largest aircraft for the journey, thus raising the number of available seats.
The expanded service to Latin American destinations will raise total seat supply on these routes by some 20,000 per month.
