Alenia Aeronautica, ein Unternehmen von Finmeccanica, hat erfolgreich den Bruchtest an der Höhenflosse des Boeing 787 Dreamliners abgeschlossen. Der Test fand in Anwesenheit von Boeing-Ingenieuren und Vertretern der US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) und der European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) im Alenia-Werk Pomigliano in Neapel statt. Die Höhenflosse wird von Alenia Aeronautica im Werk in Foggia in Apulien produziert.

The orders were previously recorded on Boeing's Orders and Deliveries Web site as unidentified. The value of the orders is approximately $4.7 billion at list prices.
